The Fireplace - Short Film(In Funding)

Imagine that you're stranded alone in a rented cottage in the middle of nowhere.

And that's where the nightmare begins. This creepy short horror film fom indiegogo has a very pregnant stranded woman in a very snowed in cabin. With only the heat and sound of the fireplace her only distraction from her predicament. But is the cracking of the fireplace turning to whispers. It her or somethng more sinister. You will have to get this short horror film made. With perks ranging from $19 usd for a Special Thank You Credit up to $312 usd for Prop & Exec Producer Credit. If you want to be a successful producer this movies cast and crew have the juice to do something special. To keep enjoying great horror movies we need to get this and other young filmmakers the chance to show their work.

As is the way with producing short films, we need to ask our fellow film lovers for a bit of cash to help get the film made. If we were all high-flying millionaires then there would be no need, but unfortunately we are but humble creative folk who simply wish to make something that people will remember and ultimately enjoy.

So with that said, if you like the idea of our project and wish to give us a helping hand in making our film there are a selection of different options. You can:

Lets met the cast and crew so far:

Ben Daly - (Writer & Director) 

Ben has previously written for Jagged Edge Films and Champdog Films as a commission screenwriter for such feature films as Tooth Fairy: Queen of Pain and Krampus the Return. To date he has written and directed four short films and had numerous other shorts produced from his scripts.

Poppy O'Hagan (Producer)

An aspiring producer who is also a total scaredy-cat. A good horror has always been both intriguing and terrifying to her. With The Fireplace, she hopes to conquer her fears and capture the essence of Ben’s vision for a suspense-filled, claustrophobic narrative all told in less than 15 minutes!

Liam Hejsak (DOP)

Having shot his first feature at 21, Liam has continued to work as a freelance DP on various shorts, features and music videos for the past 7 years. His narrative body of work leans more towards the indie horror genre with some projects getting shown across Amazon Prime, Showtime, ASFF, BFI Future Film Fest and Alter.

Actors 

The faces of our film are one of the main ingredients, and we have found the best of the best. MORE TO COME SOON...

While out taking samples a scientist in full hazmat gear and life support machine fnds a girl that is healthy and not wearing and type of protective gear.  Is she immune or is it something else.
