Along with Signs which was released 21 years ago, this is the second horror-thriller film that I've seen that's been directed by Indian-American film director M. Night Shyamalan who has been generally popular for directing other classic thrillers such as The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, Lady in the Water, The Village any many others for the list to continue. But this time, Knock at the Cabin is a movie that takes a brand new approach and doesn't have a plot twist much like any other horror movie could basically have.
The cinematography is totally top-notch along with the cast including Dave Bautista in this case it's probably his best acting that's ever been done since he's done his acting in both Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1 and 2.
If you want to know the plot, then I'll go ahead and explain it to you. However, keep in mind whenever you watch the film for yourself and try to understand what's going on, it might leave you questioning yourself what happens. But anyways, let's get started by explaining the plot. The story centers around a family of three who are on a vacation by staying at a remote cabin, only then to be held hostage by four strangers, who convince them to make a sacrifice to one of their own to prevent a global apocalypse from happening.
So now that I've finished explaining the entire plot, I must say that this film was great in it's own ways and still what makes it so genuine is that there is no twist ending to the film because in most horror films that have recently been out have had their fair share of the whole "twist ending" cliche' and begs to be seen in the theaters.
If you are totally want to see another good film by Mr. Shyamalan, then I would totally recommend seeing Knock at the Cabin and give it your own taste and perspective definitely have to say that Knock at the Cabin is probably one of the best horror-thriller films in all of it's glory.
